About the Founder

King Jaorazavelo from STRIDE language school

Luther “King” Jaorazavelo was named after the legendary Martin Luther King by his late father. He is a polyglot. He can communicate in French, Italian, and English.

His passion for reading and learning English was derived from his father’s influence. Like him, his father was a grammar teacher who used to bring him and his other siblings to the school and allowed them to read books. From there on, King just continued to grow his interest and passion with the languages.

Although he did not finish his college due to financial constraints, King did not waive his dream – to guide and to teach languages so that others can be well educated and have a better opportunity. So he got himself a job as a waiter in a restaurant. He would use his paychecks to buy books and enrolled himself in a language center. He juggled his responsibilities and passion until he finally got himself a language certificate.

He started teaching in 2012 at a grammar school during the evenings and was able to gain loyal students that followed him to his own school – STRIDE Language School.

Now, King is not just a founder but one of the teachers as well that teaches English, French, and Italian at STRIDE Language School.

Students

STRIDE Language School assesses its students’ level of proficiency in order to categorize them accordingly in their level of learning. Parents are interviewed about their child / children’s educational background and the students are tested based on their ability to speak and to understand their mother tongue “Malagasy.”

STRIDE Language School curates its programs according to the levels (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced and English Club) and needs of their students.
